Rohan C. Reid, Executive Officer

Rohan ReidRohan C. Reid joined Inland Empire Health Plan as Chief Operations Officer in July of 2012. On August 8, 2016, Mr. Reid became IEHP's Executive Officer. In this role he will lead the Claims, Eligibility, Member Services, Process Improvement (LEAN), Governing Board Secretary, Core Replacement and Facilities, Finance and Compliance areas. Mr. Reid will ensure operational systems support IEHP in delivering quality service to members and providers efficiently and effectively.

Mr. Reid brings a wealth of knowledge with over 25 years of healthcare experience in multiple care settings, such as hospitals, medical groups, and health plans. He has hands-on experience restructuring network operations, implementing claims processing improvements and new call center systems with a focus on operational and service excellence. This philosophy has been the cornerstone of Mr. Reid’s extensive executive career and will further contribute to IEHP’s focus on the member and provider. His strategic planning, organizational development and operations optimization expertise will support IEHP’s growth with healthcare reform. He is a proven leader capable of translating business strategies into successful operational performance.

Mr. Reid’s previous senior executive roles demonstrate his keen ability to enhance efficiencies, develop strategic operational initiatives, and deliver strong results. As vice president of claims operations for Health Net, he established a Claims Cost Recovery Team and Provider Claims Outreach team. In his most recent role as chief operating officer of Lovelace Health Plan in New Mexico, he directed the operations, IT, claims, enrollment and appeals and grievances departments. He was instrumental in the conversion to a new claims system that resulted in $5 million annual savings. 

Prior to his role at Lovelace Health Plan, he was vice president of contact center operations at Delta Dental, responsible for customer service operations across the United States managing 25 million calls annually. Among his many achievements, Mr. Reid successfully integrated six call centers into one virtual call center. 

Mr. Reid’s dedication to excellence and improvement is also demonstrated through his community leadership. In New Mexico, he was a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of America and plans to continue this role in California. Mr. Reid embraces health and enjoys running, cycling, and hiking in the Santa Anita trails. 

Mr. Reid pursued an undergraduate degree at State University of New York at Stony Brook where he earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology. He earned his master’s degree in public health from the School of Medicine at Yale University.
