Marcia Anderson, Chief of Medical Services
Marcia Anderson joined IEHP as the Chief of Medical Services on December 1, 2014. Ms. Anderson is responsible for the business and day-to-day operations of Medical Services. As the Chief of Medical Services, Ms. Anderson leads all Department operations, including utilization management, pharmaceutical services, quality management, behavioral health, health education, care management, department metrics and analytics, and compliance activities.
In this role, Ms. Anderson’s contributions will help protect and maintain the quality, customer service and accessibility to healthcare that IEHP is known for. Her objective is to maintain and exceed IEHP’s delivery standards in the midst of IEHP’s rapidly growing membership.
Ms. Anderson brings over 30 years of health care experience at the health plan, staff, IPA, and MSO model experience. Ms. Anderson has held positions of COO, Chief Nursing Officer, Senior Vice President, as well as many other executive management positions in various aspects of the health care delivery system.
Ms. Anderson’s diverse medical expertise includes a strong clinical operations background in addition to medical management, inpatient review, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, staff management, and utilization management.
Ms. Anderson has served as an active board member for the Nevada Nursing Education and Practice Alliance (NNEPA), American Medical Group Association, and Executive Committee Board of Trustees member at AHEC Southern Nevada. She was also President of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) Board, Nevada chapter.
Ms. Anderson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing/Education from California University of Pennsylvania. She also is a Certified Disability Management Specialist, and Certified Case Manager.
